Super 8 by Wyndham Pevely

Well with the low rating of 2.8 stars we wasn't sure on the hotel or the staff But as I assure you we booked and was very please with the rooms and the hospitality of the clerk in front. I wish I could of remembered her name. So was awesome... we did go though a small tornado at this time and she still stayed there having to operate from her car. It was a great place wish we could of stayed the full weekend but they and others lost power. All on all awesome

For a Super 8 right by a truck stop on the highway, this place was surprisingly clean. It smelled a bit like smoke, and there were burn holes in the blanket, but at last minute for 60 bucks on a weekend it's honestly better than expected. The walls were very thin, and we had some loud neighbors, but that's why I travel with ear plugs. It didn't feel unsafe to me, so that's a bonus. The front desk folks were very friendly and accommodating. We didn't make it down to breakfast, but I was surprised that they had a make your own waffle station.

Was very clean even I wanted a smoking room . Was No smell . Towels are very clean , floor was clean . Front desk very friendly. So good price for this service. Why I gave 4 stars only I wish breakfast has eggs, too .

Liked the hotel but didn't have a key to the room, we've stayed in a lot of hotels and that was a first! We got the place for 2 nights. and every time we left and came back we had to have the front desk person let us in. I just couldn't believe it. But the staff even though they were really busy was very nice about it. I brought Lysol with us and cleaned the room thoughly before we even brought our things in.

Had to book at last minute they had a room available and it was close to the elevator which was nice as I have difficulty walking. 1 thing I would change is I am a older single female traveling alone when I checked in there were people in the lobby assuming several men I checked in a head of them and I was a little leery because they had to ask my name the dusted and then they announce my room number kind of in front of those people if that could be changed that would be nice cuz it did make me feel uncomfortable

Actually this was one of the better ones I've stayed at, nice room. Though the covers did have some cigarette burn holes. The pillows were actually just right mostly firm center with lots of softness surrounding it. Pillow count was really nice, about 6. Shampoo and conditioner in separate bottles, and the body soap had balls it in so it was massaging. Looked clean, and updated. Only down side was a card to be on file Incase anything was stolen out of the room. But I don't really find that unreasonable

Staying here cause it’s closer to the children’s hospital for my son. First off you get what you pay for 100%.. toilet went off all night and day. One minute the heater would work then next it was blowing out cold air. Overall wasn’t a bad stay

In all honesty, I expected a bit more out of the room. I travel to and from New Orleans to Wisconsin (to visit family) often and stop around this area for a quick sleep and some food. The cleanliness could be better. I like my sheets to smell like they've been bleached because I'm a bit OCD about sleeping in foreign places. There weren't enough towels. There were two towels and two washcloths in the bathroom. The TV channel selection is limited to movies pretty much which didn't bother me. I didn't use the pool but it looked nice and well-kept. I was on the 2nd floor on the freeway side which was noisy. Also, I think the people next door were kids having a party because there was loud music most of the night. There were kids running up and down the hall as well yelling at each other. I didn't bother to complain so...I just didn't get much sleep. The reason I gave a better rating was the ABSOLUTELY STELLAR staff. This woman is a rock star! I locked myself out of my room and while I was waiting, she was attending to a young boy and his mother who needed - I don't know what - but she didn't have one behind the desk so offered to check her personal item to get them the help they needed. If the Wyndham people check these ratings, take note! Your staff make or break your business. This staff person (I think her name was Kim?) is why your business is successful! Give her a raise but by any means keep her.
